Role: Creative Producer Client: National Maritime Museum Cornwall Type: Interactive Touchscreen Interface / Exhibition Media
Brief As part of a major reinterpretation of the museum’s small boat collection, the brief was to enhance visitor engagement by creating a touchscreen interface that provided contextual stories and information linked to each grouping of small vessels.
Contribution and Approach As Creative Producer, I served as the central point of contact between the museum team, UI designers, and developers. I guided the conceptual direction, user experience logic, content structure, and visual tone of the interface - all on an incredably tight budget.
My role involved defining the interface flow, ensuring accessibility, and maintaining narrative clarity across all sections. I facilitated user-journey reviews, prototyping sessions, and iterative feedback rounds with museum stakeholders - balancing historical accuracy with contemporary interaction design.
Outcome • Delivered a clear, intuitive touchscreen experience enhancing visitor understanding of the collection • Provided the museum with a modern interpretive tool supporting their renewed exhibition layout • Positive feedback from curators for clarity, usability, and design quality
