Role: Media Systems Designer / Creative Technologist Client: Google Type: Experiential Pop-Up / Interactive Installation
Brief To support Android Avenue, an award-winning installation at Mobile World Congress designed to showcase how Android powers innovation across work, home, and everyday life through four interconnected experiential zones.
Contribution and Approach I played a key role in designing the dynamic playback and control systems for the installation. This involved developing an intuitive wireless interface for managing the video wall and environmental media across the space, ensuring content transitions were fluid, responsive, and technically reliable.
Working alongside designers, developers, and Google’s experiential team, I ensured the media behaved consistently across devices, responded instantly to triggers, and supported the narrative of Android as an adaptable, user-centred ecosystem. My work contributed to the seamless integration of content across all four zones, helping the experience feel cohesive and interactive without visible technical friction.
Outcome:
Contributed to an award-winning installation celebrated for clarity, interactivity, and UX cohesion
Delivered a robust playback system that improved reliability and user experience
Helped reinforce Google’s messaging around seamless connectivity and everyday innovation
